Abstract:
Raising the level and quality of life of the population is one of the priorities of the state. The current state of transport infrastructure of large cities has a number of serious problems, ecology and insufficient funding are the main ones. Developed bicycle infrastructure can be a way to solve environmental problems. In the world experience there are a lot of positive examples of such projects, at the same time Russia is still at the stage of formation of mass cycling. A well-developed system of bikeways and associated infrastructure can be an incentive for the development of urban areas. The calculations show that the construction of bicycle stations has social and economic impact. The article may have practical significance for representatives of executive state authorities, business and financial sector.
