Abstract:
The author has performed a comparative analysis of the legislation concerning bankruptcy of private persons of the European countries, USA, Canada and Russia. Common approaches and peculiarities of the bankruptcy procedure implementation have been revealed, the author has considered social consequences of private persons’ bankruptcy. The statistical data concerning private persons’ bankruptcy in Volga federal district, including the dynamics of the number of potential bankrupts, has been analyzed. The problems of the formation of private persons’ bankruptcy institute in Russia have been outlined.
