Abstract:
Purpose: the relevance of a research is based on the need of technological advancement, preservation and development of the Arctic zone in modern conditions. The article reveals challenges and threats of development, while also provides classification, trends, forecasts and mechanisms of management of needs and threats of advancement, preservation and development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and presents criteria for evaluation of technologies in development of the Arctic. Materials and methods: the methodology of this research is based on usage of systemic approach to formation of development space, the theory of competition, creation of datalogical model of a full cycle of justification and management within development of social and economic systems. Results: an important factor of development of the Arctic zone is the need of creating strategic programs of development, which account for challenges and threats, which will allow reaching a new level of advancement and technological development of the Arctic zone. Sanctions against the Russian Federation are still the limiting and artificial factor of deteriorating the external environment from the Arctic countries and their allies, with an aim to reduce the speed and scale of the development of the Arctic by the Russian Federation. Conclusions: the scientific and practical value of this research consists of systemic analysis of requirements to innovative solutions and new technologies, accounting for service conditions of technologies in the Arctic environment, requirements to new materials resistant to threats and search of economically acceptable decisions. The recommendations for effective technological advancement, preservation and development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation are offered.
