Abstract:
Purpose: a great contribution to the study and forecasting of the development of society is the conclusion of N.D. Kondratiev, reinforced by the historical analysis «The upward periods are, as a rule, richer in major social and economic shocks in the life of the world community than lowering periods». Materials and methods: methods of conducting research. In the course of the study, subsequent methods were applied: logical generalization, comparison, boundary and statistical methods, research, comparative and complex aspects.. Results: the results of the research lead to the conclusion that crisis phenomena contribute to the development of the world market economy and create incentives for entrepreneurs to update technologies and introduce new forms of management. Conclusions: the development of the economic system is a cyclical movement in which its forces accumulate and reinforce each other, but then gradually weaken until they are replaced at the same time by new forces acting in the opposite direction. In conclusion, we can say that the analysis of scientific positions leads to the conclusion that there is a regularity in the development of economic phenomena and processes, as well as the presence of unpredictable deviations from the usual course of events for uncertainty. And in these studies a special place is occupied by the scientific heritage of N. Kondratiev, as a basis for forecasting the development of the world economy of the 21st century.

Keywords: innovation-cyclical theory of economic development of Shumpeter-Kondratyev, large cycles of the world conjuncture, patterns of cyclical formation of economic systems
